Living in Fiji, I learned the basics of yoga rolling in the sand and saluting the huge setting sun, and without much thought this practice quickly became a must for me; a sweet haven and a peaceful start to a hectic day working in paradise.
Soon after I discovered I was pregnant I watched in wonder at what our bodies are capable of. I plunged into this new dedication to movement and grounding in yoga and I realized it was helping me to connect and navigate through crazy changes and LIFE. I really deepened my practice and felt inspired to train.
Since then yoga and teacher training just shook it up! Forever trying to figure this all out, and live the vibrancy of my self in the every day, but this thing yoga has me stepping on a path that is a bit brighter, more curious and full of potential.
The quality of my attention and awareness nurtured through embodied movement, the constant tug back 'to me' has lead me to fill myself up and look less to others and all things to do so. I am less anxious, and feel more excited about life.
What may start as simply breath and movement (vinyasa) could spiral into an entire emotional, physical and even spiritual transformation.
An intention to live and love every moment is a chance to truly taste life.
I have so many inspirations in yoga and bring a flavour of it all to my classes. Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi Gong, Forrest abs, somatics, embodied flow, deep rest....
From powerful flows to deep relaxation and meditation, we follow our breath and open our bodies, so that our mind may rest in the space and expand freely.

My training in seasonal yoga is about living in tune with nature and the changes that occur throughout the year. Over time this is something that we have become so far removed from as we push our work into the late hours and also push our bodies regardless of what nature is saying. We can tune our lifestyles to the energy fluctuations of the seasons. A balanced energy flow improves health and this has been known for thousands of years through ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine traditions. Yoga philosophy aligns with Chinese knowledge in using our energy or 'prana' or ‘chi’ flows to achieve not only balance and good health but to guide us to a higher state of being. We can bring yoga into all aspects of our daily lives and enhance our approach to life.
